I'm privileged to be part of a just released, free e-book and video commemorating the 10th anniversary of 9-11.  It is entitled "A Celebration of Personal Heroes."

In this e-book, you'll read about personal heroes--people who possess qualities or characteristics we'd like to emulate. The existence of heroes in our lives helps us expand our perceptions about our own limitations and gives us something to aspire to—something each of us needs.

Stories written by more than 100 authors include:

"Imagine My Surprise" by Anne Bennett, who expresses gratitude for the New Yorkers on the 9-11 attacks that she witnessed.

"You're a Hero, Too" by Cat Traywick, who reminds us that we can all make a difference because of the hero within ourselves.

And my story "What Did He See?" reinforces the power of encouraging words and how they sometimes change the direction of a life. 

One of the co-authors compiled a short  accompanying YouTube video.  We sent her pictures of our story hero or friends and loved ones serving in the military, and she made a very moving video.  I cried when I first watched it.  Here's the link:  http://youtu.be/H8zSkryKr1k
