My interest in writing began in my high school journalism class and continued as I wrote and served on the newspaper staff.

Dormant for many years, this interest was rekindled in 2002 by a comment about the eulogy I'd written for my mother's memorial service.  A woman asked if I were a writer.  When I responded "no", she said, "You should be.  You're good at it."  Little did she know that her comment was an answer to prayer.  I'd been asking the Lord what He wanted me to do in my upcoming retirement years, and He'd been telling me to write.  I thought that ridiculous, beause I wasn't a college graduate nor had I written in 40 years.  Imagine my surprise that my confirmation came at my mother's memorial service.

I then enrolled in an online writing workshop. Although not a class assignment, I wrote a personal essay during that time entitled "Mailbox Encourager", and I submitted it to the publisher  at www.2theheart.  She accepted it within one day, and it was published two days later.  My first publication since high school.  I was euphoric.

In May, 2004, I co-founded Lighthouse Christian Writers (http://bit.ly/qWXCJA/) in Peshtigo, Wisconsin, a group that now meets in Klondike, Wisconsin.  This group went from idea to reality in five weeks.  I'm chronicling how we did it in an ebook that will be available soon.  If that's of interest, please leave your email addresss on the Contact page so I can notify you when it's available.

I also had the privilege of leading the Congregation of Christian Writers (CCW) in Sioux Falls for three years.

I continue to write from my retirement home in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.  This home is shared with husband Dennis and our two tabby cats, Cuddles and Rusty.

My published works are online, in magazines, newsletters and several anthologies.  Links to some samples are under the Clips tab.
